SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION requests public suggestions on ways to support youth with disabilities in transition to adulthood. In releasing the final Ticket to Work Regulations, SSA decided NOT to issue tickets to those beneficiaries under age 18 or to those who have attained age 18, but for whom a re-determination of their disability has not yet been conducted under the disability standard for adults. However, SSA is seeking suggestions with respect to how youth with disabilities can be helped in the transition to adulthood. The request for suggestions was published in the December 28 Federal Register. Note that your suggestions MUST be received by February 26, 2002.
